For white diamonds, the less colour the better. The highest colour grade is D. Colours are generally grouped into six colour ranges as can be seen in the table below. The lower the grade the more the yellow tinge. Choosing well in this category can provide you with great value for money.

Most commonly colours seen in high street jewellery stores offering good value for money.


J,K,L,M,N
Within these colour grades a yellow tinge is more obvious to see when comparing to other higher grades.


N,P,O,Q,R
Within these grades the yellow is very obvious and can produce some remarkable jewellery designs when combined with colourless stones.
